Longhorns Don’t Litter

UT has a creek to protect.

When research found that 1 in 5 UT students admitted to littering, a change needed to be made. Longhorns Don’t Litter was created, an anti-littering campaign run by UT students.

During the Fall 2024 semester, I had the opportunity to work on this campaign for one of my classes.

The first step of conservation is awareness

A big part of this campaign is protecting Waller Creek, a major source of drinking water for the UT area. We decided to put up posters around campus of Waller Creek’s declaration that it wouldn’t be a trash can anymore.
